We get New York working.

Rooted in the values of the labor movement, the Consortium for Worker Education empowers workers with the skills to thrive, support their families, and strengthen their communities through education, training, child care, and job placement services. CWE serves as the workforce development arm of the NYC Central Labor Council, providing these services to 33 labor unions and their respective locals. Additionally, CWE operates a network of 50 community partners across all five boroughs, providing a suite of vital services to prepare New Yorkers for the workforce. Each year, CWE serves approximately 34,000 workers in the NYC area.
